- [Properties]
-
- Holmium has a bright, silvery luster. It is fairly soft - much like lead -
- and it can be pounded or rolled into very thin sheets. It is fairly stable
- in normal room environments, but it ends to corrode with a dull, yellowish
- oxide filem when subjected to conditions of high temperature and humidity.
- Holmium is a lanthanide as well as a rare earth.
